Described in the Good Beer Guide as ‘ Located within the historic Scarisbrick Hotel which occupies an imposing position in the centre of Lord Street. The bar is furnished, as the name suggests in the style of a medieval baronial hall with weaponry and hatchments decorating the walls, a vaulted and arched bar, together with comfortable leather armchairs.’
The bar itself, is renowned for comfort and Real Ale and is one of Southport’s premier Real Ale bars. We always have on Flag & Turret 3.7%, our very own session beer brewed especially for us, Cask Tetley 3.7%, Moorhouses – Pride of Pendle 4.1% a very consistent best bitter brewed in Burnley and we also stock two permanent Real Ciders, one with Westons - Old Rosie at 7.3% and the other as a Guest Cider pump. Our real treat is however ‘Guest Ales’, just look at our Beer History pages.
Throughout this website we aim to keep you up to date with all that goes on in the Barons bar including when we have live music and what the artists are like, forthcoming beer festivals, Theme nights, Beer competitions and generally anything else that happens.

Friday – Saturday 11am – 11.45pm
Sunday 12pm – 11pm
Everyone will always be extended a very warm welcome here, but remember you can not substitute for the real thing, so come on pay us a visit.
